Abraham Lincoln: Now He Belongs to the Ages
June 18, 19, 20, 2004

Abraham Lincoln, apologizing for the brevity of his 1859 autobiographical sketch, observed that "there is not much of it, for the reason, I suppose, that there is not much of me." Subsequent events revealed the irony of this assessment, and popular and scholarly interest in Lincoln's life and legacy continues. This year's Crowe Academy studies Lincoln in history and myth to explore the ways that Lincoln, in Edwin M. Stanton's prophetic words, "belongs to the ages."
