Crowe Academy An invitation to become a Patron of Crowe Academy The Crowe Academy, founded in 1999 and named for the founder of Hanover College, John Finley Crowe, is a program of Hanover's Center for Free Inquiry. The Crowe Academy mission is to provide intellectually stimulating and enriching academic programs to Hanover friends and alumni through two and three day seminars on campus. Participants are housed on the beautiful campus overlooking the Ohio River, attend lectures by specialists on the selected theme, and participate in academic discussions around the lectures. A mixture of pleasure and intellectual enrichment is the hallmark of the successful series. Hanover College has subsidized the initial Crowe Academies by underwriting approximately one half the expenses. In order not to divert future college resources which could benefit needy students, we have initiated the Patrons of The Crowe Academy. Thanks to our Patrons, we have been able to provide many amenities to our participants which otherwise would not have been possible. Your gift of $200 or more earns Patron status, and a gift of $500 or more earns Special Patron status. The fund will assist in keeping the Academy tuition reasonably low without diverting funds from Hanover's primary educational purposes. Thank you for your support, which naturally is tax deductible.
