Vosmeier Featured in Documentary.

The short film was shown on Thursday, March 10 at 5 pm in the mailroom of the CC followed by a reception. Dr. Vosmeier was on hand to answer questions.

 

Matt Vosmeier came to Hanover College in the fall of 1999. He received a B.A. in history from Indiana University at Fort Wayne, an A.M. in history from Brown University, and his Ph.D. from Indiana University in Bloomington. After participating in the 2001 Crowe Academy on the Lewis and Clark expedition, Prof. Vosmeier joined the Center for Free Inquiry as Associate Director and Program Director of Crowe Academy. Dr. Vosmeier is a member of the History Department, where he teaches early American history, including courses on the American Midwest and Abraham Lincoln.

"Young Lincoln"

Episode description: This program examines how the joys and trials of Lincoln's boyhood years formed his personality, shaped his early political notions, and molded his character. The documentary features several notable historians who share their insights on this little-known chapter in Lincoln's life and legacy.
